Erie County Legislator Frank Todaro recently joined members of Lancaster, Unleashed, Inc., Lancaster Area Chamber of Commerce and other Erie County officials in cutting a ribbon on the long-awaited Como Lake Bark Park in Lancaster.

Legislator Todaro has played a vital role in securing $150,000 in key funding to go toward construction, completion and maintenance of the Bark Park.

The Como Lake Bark Park is located near the Bowen Road entrance to the park—behind the park’s maintenance building. It is located on over 1.4 acres of fenced in land with several attractions for dogs to enjoy such as water fountains, agility equipment, rinse-off station, water play, separate large/small dog areas and bathrooms nearby for human use.

The Como Lake Bark Park is open from dawn to dusk.

Legislator Todaro said, “I am so proud of the Como Lake Bark Park project and all of the blood, sweat and tears that have gone into its creation over the last several years. It was an absolute honor to work so closely with Lancaster, Unleashed, Inc., Lancaster Area Chamber of Commerce and several other Erie County officials to make this dream become a reality. I look forward to visiting the Bark Park with my little girl Ruby and meeting many of my four-legged, furry constituents!”
