Clerk Kearns Reports on First 100 Days in Clerk’s Office

What’s new, what’s accomplished, and what’s on the horizon

Erie County, NY- On Thursday, March 22nd 2018 Clerk Mickey Kearns provided a report to the Erie County Legislature on his first 100 Days serving as Erie County Clerk.

Over the first 100 days, Clerk Kearns has conducted an analysis of the various departments of the Clerk’s Office. Through this analysis, Clerk Kearns has begun to initiate changes to enhance the multiple services offered to the public through the Clerk’s Office.  

In the documents below is a detailed report on both new initiatives at the Clerk’s office, and ways Clerk Kearns is working to strengthen existing programs and services for Erie County residents, including:

• Reconfiguring the Pistol Department to better serve both current permit holders and new applicants.
• Opening a Pistol Department Satellite Office in Elma, NY.
• Launching the Erie County Clerk’s ALERT program, to help municipalities monitor foreclosures within their communities.
• Expanding veterans’ services under the new Erie County Clerk’s SALUTES program.
• Promoting health and wellness for both the public and employees through the new Clerk’s Wellness Collaborative.
