KEARNS ANNOUNCES PROMOTION AT ERIE COUNTY AUTO BUREAU

Kisha Douglas, who has risen through the ranks at the Erie County Auto Bureau, was named Branch Manager on May 13, 2022. She is the first woman of color to hold such a position and will oversee DMV operations at the Buffalo office.

County Clerk names first Black female Branch Manager 

Erie County, NY- Erie County Clerk Michael P. Kearns is pleased to announce Kisha Douglas has been promoted to Manager of the Auto Bureau’s Buffalo branch located at 170 Pearl Street. 

Ms. Douglas, a Buffalo resident, began her career as a Junior Motor Vehicle Representative in 2002. In 2020, Ms. Douglas was promoted to Supervisor and was heavily involved in maintaining operations and ensuring customers were able to process their Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) transactions at the downtown branch throughout COVID-19. In her new position as Branch Manager, Ms. Douglas will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations.

The Buffalo Auto Bureau, located in the Rath Building at 170 Pearl Street, conducts over 80,000 transactions annually and employs 18 Motor Vehicle Representatives.
