Erie County, NY - Erie County Clerk Michael P. Kearns will be issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP), seeking proposals from parties interested in building-out and leasing approximately 3,500 square feet of commercial office space to house the southern tier branch of the Erie County Auto Bureau. The southern tier region of Erie County includes the following municipalities: Evans, Eden, Boston, Colden, Concord, Holland, Brant, Collins, North Collins, Sardinia and the Cattaraugus Reservation.

The Erie County Auto Bureau previously provided services to the region at a 400 square foot space located within Evans Town Hall. Due to the dramatic changes to the Erie County Auto Bureau operations as a result of COVID-19’s social distancing guidelines, the limited space has become impracticable to provide services to the public in a safe and healthy manner.

“I am very thankful for the partnership we maintained with Supervisor Hosler and the Town of Evans over the past several years,” stated Kearns. “However, with the ‘new normal’ that COVID-19 has established, we need to examine our options for a larger facility to safely serve the motorists in the southernmost portion of Erie County.”

The Request for Proposal will be issued on March 4, 2021. Those interested in submitting a proposal may go to erie.gov/purchasing and click on the “Requests for Proposals” tab.
