Companies Can Help Keep Money in Erie County
When They Renew Registrations of Business-owned Vehicles

Business owners, did you know that every time you conduct any transaction on-line using the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) website, 100% of that registration transaction fee goes directly to Albany?

Through our Fleet Services Initiative, area businesses now have an opportunity to help keep 12.7% of that transaction fee in Erie County which can mean as much as $1.5 million annually. This revenue is critical to the County and goes directly into the general fund in order to support vital programs and services important to our community. This includes road repairs to keep your business vehicles running smoothly and safely.

This initiative is an expansion of our Renew Local campaign by focusing on companies with vehicle fleets of five or more cars, trucks or trailers.  Overseeing your company’s fleet can be time consuming for any organization and the Erie County Auto Bureau is here to help minimize that burden.

The Fleet Services team offers built-in advantages which includes a designated representative to assist you in expediting your transactions, streamlining your fleet’s renewal dates, and replacing peeling license plates. Companies will also receive their vehicle registration quicker, usually within 7-10 business days, all with personalized attention.  That’s a win-win for Erie County and you!

Business owners and motorists should know that by going online to the New York State DMV all that revenue goes directly to Albany and doesn’t stay in Erie County. Imagine if every company that has a fleet of vehicles takes this opportunity to renew local; the financial impact would mean millions of dollars staying here and benefitting our community.
