We are inviting event planners, tourism professionals, fundraisers, restaurateurs, and culinary programs to attend our free “They’re Demanding Less Waste” workshop. The workshop will focus on stories and strategies on purchasing, planning and coordinating activities to maximize customer experiences while minimizing food waste including disposable containers and plastic ware at restaurants, special events and festivals. Panel discussion followed by spirited networking. Panelists will include Prish Moran of Sweet_ness 7 Café and Jennifer Brazill from the Borderland Festival.

This workshop will provide ideas and inspiration for participants and also identify areas of interest for further engagement. We hope there is an added benefit as the different types of event participants network with each other and explore the subject from different perspectives.

Let's begin a discussion about what resources, support, or recognition different organizations need to create the structural and cultural changes that will result in less food related waste.
