The Erie County/Town of West Seneca Consolidated Annual Performance Report (CAPER) for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) Program and HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) Program will be available for public review and comment from June 12 through June 27, 2019 at the Erie County Department of Environment and Planning, Erie County Office Building, 95 Franklin Street, Buffalo, New York, 14202.
Erie County and the Northeast South Towns and Northwest Local Solid Waste Management Boards will hold a joint public meeting on July 31, 2019, at 6:00pm to facilitate public comment and discussion about each Board’s draft 10 year planning documents, their Local Solid Waste Management Plans. The public meeting will be held at the Erie County Emergency Management Facility Auditorium located at 3359 Broadway, Cheektowaga, NY 14227. Click here to RSVP for this meeting.

Workshop Goal: Provide Lake Erie/Niagara River region municipal leaders with training on severe weather and climate change impacts as well as some of the tools, resources, and programs that can be used to identify and address vulnerabilities and increase community resiliency to those impacts.
Join Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper for an interactive workshop to learn and discuss the Regional Niagara River/Lake Erie Watershed Management Plan. This workshop will highlight findings and suggested management actions for the following sub-watersheds: Buffalo River, Smoke Creek, Eighteenmile Creek. Topics will include: Riparian Buffers, Land Use, Nutrient Loading, Green Infrastructure. A light snack will be provided.

A big thank you to Erie County residents for coming out to our Household Hazardous Waste collection this past Saturday at Erie Community College, North Campus.
Erie County Sewer District No. 4 has begun the installation of a sanitary sewer project in the Towns of Cheektowaga and Lancaster that will eliminate the Aurora North Pumping Station.
The project will last through the summer and is expected to be completed in the fall of 2016.
