RE: PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING
BETHLEHEM STEEL SHORELINE TRAIL PHASE I

Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz and Lackawanna Mayor Geoffrey Szymanski announced a Public Information Meeting to be held on Thursday, July 14, 2016 (4:30pm to 7:00pm) for the proposed Bethlehem Steel Shoreline Trail Phase I project. The meeting will take place at the City of Lackawanna Council Chambers, 714 Ridge Rd., Lackawanna, NY. The proposed project involves the installation of a Class 1 pedestrian/bicycle trail along the west side of NYS Route 5 from the Lackawanna/Buffalo city line, southerly to approximately the area of Dona St. The total length of the project is approximately 7,500 feet. The project is being funded by the New York State Department of Transportation –Transportation Alternatives Program and County of Erie.
Preliminary design has been completed by the County and their Consultant (Greenman-Pedersen, Inc.). Information about the project will be displayed at the Public Information Meeting. Representatives from the County and their Consultant will be available to discuss the project and answer questions on an individual basis. Written comments, questions and statements may be submitted at the meeting or mailed and received before July 30, 2016 will be considered during final design and should be submitted to:
